KANSAS CITY, Mo., August 12, 2008 --- Executive AirShare President and Chief Operating Officer Keith D. Plumb today announced that the Kansas City, Mo.-based fractional aircraft ownership company has promoted Brian W. Jewell to the position of chief pilot, effective immediately. Jewell, 44, an Executive AirShare pilot since 2005, will report to Director of Operations Adam Letts.
Jewell, a certified airline transport pilot, has logged more than 10,000 hours in a wide range of commercial and business aircraft. His aviation career began as a private instructor in the Kansas City area in 1988. He later served as first officer aboard Midwest Airlines Beech 1900C aircraft and for TWA as a Boeing 727 flight engineer and first officer aboard McDonnell Douglas MD82s for both TWA and American Airlines. Since joining Executive AirShare, Jewell has served as captain on Executive AirShare's Beechjet 400A, Super King Air 350 and King Air C90B aircraft. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Kansas State University.
