Frequently Asked Questions

Interested in learning more about exactly how aircraft fractional ownership can benefit you? At Executive AirShare we are committed to being your partner in achieving cost and time efficiencies by offering the highest quality fleet of aircraft available within a regional fractional ownership program. Here are a few frequently asked questions and answers about our program.

Q.
I hear a lot about one-quarter shares. Is it possible to purchase a smaller share under your program?

A. Absolutely. Executive AirShare offers 1/16, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4 and 1/2 interests in the Phenom 100, Beechjet 400A, Super King Air 350, and the King Air C90B.  The wide range of aircraft choices various purchasing share increments means we can tailor a fractional ownership plan to meet your specific needs.

Q. What is the total amount I can expect to spend for a fractional share of the Phenom 100, Beechjet 400A, King Air 350, or the King Air C90B?

A. Because Executive AirShare offers a range of fractional ownership options, costs are varied. You can purchase a share for as little as $124,750 for a 16th of a C90B and up to $1,160,000 for a 1/4 interest in the Phenom 100.

Q. What can I expect to pay in monthly expenses and what does it cover?

A. Executive AirShare prides itself in offering premium fractional ownership plans with low monthly costs to our family of customers. The Monthly Shared Expense is exactly that; the overhead cost of owning an airplane is shared amongst owners. These fixed, overhead costs include hangar rent, pilot salaries, training cost, insurance and other fixed expenses. Monthly fixed shared expenses for the Phenom 100 and Beechjet 400A range from $3,200 for a sixteenth share to $12,800 for a quarter share; Super King Air 350 and the King Air C90B monthly share expenses range from $1,850 to $12,000 a month, depending on share size. In comparison to national programs that offer similar aircraft, we are confident you will see significant savings under our aircraft and fractional ownership plan.

Q. What is the variable hourly rate and what expenses are included in the hourly cost?

A. The variable hourly rate is the amount you pay per hour for operating the aircraft. The variable rate covers maintenance for the aircraft and engines, fuel, cleaning, and light snacks and refreshments. The variable rate is adjusted monthly based on the U.S. average Jet A fuel cost as listed in Business and Commercial Aviation. AirShare hourly operating costs are low; costs range from: $855 for the C90B, $1,065 for the Phenom 100, $1,150 for the King Air 350, and $2,030for the Beechjet. We encourage you to compare these costs with other fractional programs.

Q. Do I really own part of an aircraft? What is the difference between Executive AirShare and charter?

A. Yes, you own an undivided interest in the aircraft. For tax purposes, you own a portion of the airplane, therefore you retain the depreciation benefit. The Executive AirShare program aircraft are 1995 or newer, so the residual value for your share at the end of the 5-year term will be higher in comparison to an older aircraft. Charter is paid on an hourly basis, however a lot of charter aircraft tend to be older because of the holding cost associated with the ownership of the airplane. Executive AirShare customers recognize the benefit of owning a nearly new aircraft compared to chartering planes that are sometimes greater than 20 years old.

Q. I don’t have the time to deal with my travel budget but I’d like to see if Executive AirShare could save me time and money compared to my existing method of transportation.

A. We at Executive AirShare pride ourselves on the personal touch we provide to our customers as well as newcomers to aircraft ownership. We would be happy to analyze your current travel requirements and customize our fractional ownership program to efficiently meet your travel needs. Buying a share of one aircraft provides access to the AirShare fleet so you can use the appropriate aircraft for your particular mission. We would like to set a time to discuss our program options over the phone and construct a personalized travel analysis to present to you at your convenience.
