Executive AirShare Promote J. Michael McMillan to Vice President of Sales-Central U.S.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 11, 2011) --- Keith D. Plumb, president and chief operating officer, Executive AirShare, today announced the regional fractional aircraft ownership company has promoted J. Michael McMillan to the position of vice president, sales-Central U.S.
McMillan previously served as Executive AirShare senior sales director in the State of Texas and will now oversee sales efforts in Oklahoma and Kansas, as well as Texas, from Executive AirShare’s operations at Fort Worth Meacham Airport (FTW). He will help the company enhance its position as the only fractional to offer both the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 aircraft, and will lead efforts to introduce more business aircraft users to these high performance, cost-efficient light jets in new and existing markets.
“Michael has established a successful track record for generating sales and managing sales programs since joining Executive AirShare two years ago,” said Plumb. “His more than 35 years’ experience in business aviation, serving companies such as Raytheon and Piaggio, and his extensive industry knowledge are invaluable to business owners looking to make the most of their time and aircraft investments.”
Prior to joining Executive AirShare, McMillan served as president and chief executive officer of S-TEC Corporation, where he led a turnaround that helped the company achieve profitability for the first time in four years. He also was president and founder of Aircraft Travel Solutions, Inc. and served as vice president of sales and marketing for Piaggio America, Inc. McMillan also served as a regional vice president for Raytheon Aircraft Company from 1991 to 2000
McMillan holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Wichita State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle University. He also holds an ATP certificate with over 6,000 hours, which includes Part 135 charter experience.
