What is fractional jet ownership?
Think of fractional ownership (or lease) as a timeshare. You essentially purchase a portion of the aircraft necessary for your usage, typically in 1/16 interests. Unlike our competitors, we use a day-based model instead of an hour-based model. This model gives you 20 days of travel per year with unlimited* hours. With unlimited flight hours in a day, Airshare customers average as many as 100 hours in the air, while our competitors limit their customers to 50 hours on the same 1/16 share.
How does a days-based program work?
As the leading days-based fractional private jet ownership provider, Airshare gives you the flexibility to use the day to your advantage. Our revolutionary model provides you with unlimited flight hours*, which allows you to fly more on a 1/16 share versus our competitor’s program. Plus, our plane and crew stay with you for the day if you need them.
Going on a single-day business trip? That counts as one program day under our economical Express Rate. Going on a trip for a week? You utilize two program days under the standard Hourly Rate. Meaning, the first day is utilized traveling to the destination, and the second day is used on the return trip. You won’t be charged for the rest of the days you’re at your destination. Plans begin with 1/16 ownership of an aircraft. That equates to 20 program days a year with no hour limitations (except those imposed by FAA regulations).

What types of shares are available?
Airshare Fractional Ownership begins with 1/16 shares in the Phenom 300, and Challenger 3500. That equates to 20 program days a year. Fractional Ownership programs increase in 10-day increments to meet your private aviation needs.
How much does a fractional program cost?
Three elements factor into pricing: the acquisition cost, monthly shared expenses, and the variable hourly rate. Contact our sales team for specific pricing for each aircraft.
What is covered under monthly expenses?
Our fractional ownership programs feature low monthly costs to shareowners. The overhead cost of owning an airplane is shared amongst all owners of each aircraft. These fixed costs include hangar rent, pilot salaries, training costs, insurance, and other expenses. Call for more details and pricing.
What is the variable hourly rate? What expenses are included in the hourly cost?
The variable hourly rate is the amount you pay per hour for usage of the aircraft. The variable rate covers maintenance for the aircraft and engines, fuel, cleaning, and light snacks and refreshments. The variable rate is adjusted monthly based on the U.S. average Jet A fuel cost as listed in Business and Commercial Aviation.
We offer two low hourly rates, both of which have no fuel surcharge. Our Hourly Rate is the standard rate you pay to operate the aircraft. Our Express Rate is our unique way to pass the savings onto you. When you fly efficiently, we reward you for it. The Express Rate saves you 25% and applies when you begin and end in the same location and keep the aircraft with you.
Do I really own part of an aircraft?
Yes, you own an undivided interest in your particular aircraft; therefore, you retain attractive tax benefits which may be available (contact your tax counsel for details).
